Apparently it's not enough that thousands of people report the same symptoms.
Doctors, nurses, scientists, celebrity pro baseball players have this disease.

Is it real?

When thousands of people report the same symptoms you have to ask yourself:
Ok, there may be something in this. It MAY just be that they are telling the truth.

For a start, what would they have to gain by deceiving people?

Ahhhh...but hold on. Maybe, just maybe they're delusional!
By delusional I don't mean strung out, crack-smoking lunatics.
Maybe they're just ordinary people who've experienced unusual
symptoms. They've found each other on the internet and exaggerated
their symptoms...then gained some new ones? Mass delusion?

That sure could happen. Especially with the health service being what
it is today. People turn to the internet for a diagnosis. Nothing wrong
in that per se. As long as you keep an open mind and always consult
a doctor. Yeah right.

Ok. Now these people have some crazy symptoms. I mean you read about
the fibers emerging from their skin, the lesions that don't heal, the itching
and it's like whooaahhh..are these people real? I have never heard of anything
quite like this and to be honest it's stretching the bounds of imagination.

But, I ask myself: Why would people from all over the globe suddenly report
the same symptoms? A mass delusion fuelled by the new lines of communication
offered by the internet? May be. But then these people do not sound delusional.
You can assume they are delusional based on the facts they present. But their
manner, their tone, their conviction sounds as honest as any words you will
ever hear. But who ever said that sincerity was a virtue posessed by only
the sane?

Still. Reading these accounts. Listening to people. If this were a fake disease
then surely there would be a definite statement from the CDC saying in effect:
'We've heard the stories, consulted with people. This disease does not exist.'

But then I read the CDC is forming a task force to investigate Morgellons.
The CDC sure as hell do not have the time or the money to create fake
task forces to investigate fake diseases.Maybe they care about their PR?

So hang on. Thousands of people complain they have Morgellons disease with
a list of syptoms that point to a delusional condition and in this climate of
terrorism, global warming and emerging diseases and the CDC form a
task force to investigate Morgellons? Would they really bother?

Ok...so just who do we have infected with Morgellons? And just who do we have researching
Morgellons?

I found this report from Professor Randy Wymore Phd at Oklahoma State University:

"Pathologists and dermatologists and lab reports [said] that these were textile fibers appearing in the skin of the sufferers. Now that's just not true, to be perfectly blunt about it,"

Source: http://www.ktvu.com/news/9264350/detail.html

SoProf. Randy Wymore reckons that the fibers that appear from the skin of people
suffering from Morgellons are not from man-made textile fibers.

The report goes on to say:

"Wymore says his tests rule out not only textile fibers, but also worms, insects, animal material and even human skin and hair. He says the filaments are not an external contamination."

Ok. So now we have a respected scientist saying that the fibers these people say
are emerging from their skin are NOT textile fibers, not man made.

That kind of freaks me out. A respected scientist seems to be confirming what
thousands of people are reporting: they have fibers emerging from their skin.

The report continues:

"Prof. Wymore says he is about to begin a clinical trial and offers this to sufferers: "We know there's something going on here. You're not delusional."

Ok, now I'm confused. We have thousands of delusional people with the exact same
symptoms being investigated by a respected scientist and he is saying that the
fibers that emerge from these people are NOT MAN MADE. So that excludes
tissues, kleenex, wool, nylon, cotton etc etc.

Hmmm. Ok...I'm intrigued.

So far I see thousands of delusional people with the same symptoms, and a highly respected
scientist (Prof Randy Wymore) who is saying that they are not delusional. I've read stories
of doctors proclaiming these people are delusional without performing any clinical tests
whatsoever. Would your doctor do that? Would mine?

Ok moving on. What other players do we have on this stage?

Nurse Ginger Savely has been treating Morgellons patients for years:

Ginger Savely says she's seeing more patients in her clinic with the symptoms, like painful skin ulcers that spring blue fibers, white threads, and little black specks of sand-like material. "Talking about it just sounds crazy but there are just a lot of things that come out of their skin," says Savely.

The report continues from : http://www.canlyme.com/morgellons.html

There are 1,100 hundred known cases in the U.S. Most of them are in Texas, California and Florida. Doctors are trying to find out why. For more information on Morgellons, go to the Morgellons Research Foundation at www.morgellons.org

I still DO NOT buy this Morgellons disease. We have thousands of obviously delusional
people, a highly respected scientist (Wymore) that confirms their claims, and now
a registered nurse that knows of over a 1,000 patients with Morgellons?

I dig deeper.

It seems that this disease cannot survive without headlines.

"Former Oakland A's pitcher Billy Koch has it. And so do his wife and their three children. And though they can afford top medical care, doctors have no answers."

Ok, now there's a headline!

Let me get this right. Billy Koch was one of the greatest baseball players ever to grace the earth.
Billy Koch has Morgellons and it caused him to end his career prematurely?

Yeah right.

Ok, I read on :

http://www.ktvu.com/news/9264350/detail.html

So now we have thousands of delusional people with the same symptoms (Morgellons).
We have a highly respected scientist that upholds their claims. (Professor Randy Wymore).
We have a registered nurse who treated many patients with Morgellons and knows of
thousands that are registered with disease.
We have a pro baseball celebrity millionaire who's whole family were infected with this
disease and had to endure a nightmare despite the fact money was no object.

Many people report being crippled with pain in their joints. Brain fog? Intense itching
all over their bodies. I read an account. Most distressing. A young boy who contracted
this disease then got cancer. He died and while his doctor confirmed the presence of
fibers emerging from huge lesions on his body while he was alive, after his death that
same doctor denied ever seeing such a thing. The fibers were seen to emerge from
his body for quite some time after his death.

This scares me.

Why would a woman who so loved her son and endured unimaginable pain watching
him die mention fibers emerging from his body?

I found a site that appears to be doing research on Morgellons disease:

www.morgellons.org

I also found a site run by an individual that has spent an anermous amount of time
and effort attempting to debunk and for want of a better word smear the claims
of Morgellons sufferers. http://morgellonswatch.blogspot.com/

What concens me here is that this individual appears to have more time than
most of the sufferers put together to build a comprehensive site that accuses
thousands of people, respected scientists, registered nurses and pro celeb
baseball players of being well......just plain liers.

The thing that strikes me is:

The information on Morgellons disease is fractured perhaps but after a litlle
research, most rational people will be able to determine that there is
something going on....all these people cannot be delusional.

But why http://morgellonswatch.blogspot.com/ ?????

Who would have time to criticise, condemn and insult sufferers of a disease.
Real or not. who would go to such lengths?

The writer has an agenda?

The CDC is investigating Mogellons disease. It may be some time before some
truths come to light. But when they do, it will be much clearer why people like
this have fought to discredit the thousands of people who suffer from this
disease.

Are there sites dedicated to insulting AIDS patients?
Are there sites dedicated to criticising MS patients?

The writer of Morgellonswatch has a definite agenda and it sure as hell ain't finding the truth.

The writer arrives at a diagnosis without ever meeting, seeing or conversing with a
Morgellons sufferer. How scientific is that ?

And who am I might you ask?

I'm 45. I've run an employment agency for 20 years.
I retire next year and will be happy.

I've suffered from Morgellons disease for 5 years.
For 4 of those years I had intense itching all over my body and visited
doctor after doctor. I had excruciating pains in my eyes, my joints and back.

One day I read an account from a Morgellons sufferer. Their symptom matched
mine. But they said that their skin produced fibers when they applied tea tree
oil. Hmmmm Ok... sure.....

A few months laterI found the same site and decided to give the tea tree oil a go.
I knew nothing would happen but I was perhaps desperate at the lack of interest
and effectiveness of my doctor.

I got ready to take a bath. I filled a spray bottle with 10% tea tree oil and the rest
water.

Upon spraying the solution on my forearms I was amazed if not terrified to see black
specks emerge from my skin. Around 3-4mm in length. There were about 10-12.

I tried the other forearm. I felt a tingle in certain places and then the specks emerged.
Maybe 8-10 black specks emerged on my arm right from my skin.

It's no exaggeration if I admit I was terrified.

This is not something our lives prepare us for. We have colds, viruses, heart attacks
and cancer. But no one ever tells us that our skin can harbour material that will
emerge when sprayed with tea tree oil. Now that is just a visible symptom and
no indication of what else may be happning inside our bodies.

Quite recently, the inside of my mouth was itching intensely. Never had that before.
I just happened to sue some mouthwash and was astonished when I spat into
the sink. A ball of white/clear fibers and blue fibers (confirmed by microscope).

Am I delusional?

My clients would perhaps beg to differ. Occasionally upon receipt of an invoice
they may have a few words to say but on the whole I am valued because I help
my clients make alot of money on a regular basis.

So what is MY agenda?

Conspiracy theories aside, it's an important question. If you believe what I say
then the answer is quite obvious. I want to be cured of this disease. I don't
want my family or friends to endure what I have had to.

Looking at these links, do they sound sincere?:

www.morgellons.org
http://www.healthsciences.okstate.edu/morgellons/index.cfm

REAL PEOPLE. A real disease.

And in the other corner we have:
http://morgellonswatch.blogspot.com/

Now talking about agendas. Here we have a guy that has never
met a sufferer of this disease. Has never experienecd the symptoms.
He is able to refute the claims of thousands of Morgellons sufferers, scientists, nurses
celebrities and the press.

You have to ask WHY?

For the common good?

Why insult people suffering from a disease EVEN IF they are delusional?
What we have is a highly organised body of work that states claims without
having ecer examined any individual. It assumes a psychological condition has
ravaged thousands of people, and rendered their intelligience, experience
and common sense useless.

You have to wonder why a person would want to do that.
The only evidence they have is in their head.

Most people base their opinions on first hand experience.
You would therefore expect the same from others.
Especially when they spend so much time expressing their
beliefs as if it were truth.

The tide has turned. The CDC has formed a task force to
investigate this fake disease Morgellons. Prof Randy Wymore
is researching this fake disease and says that sufferers 'Are
not delusional'.
Thousands of people suffering from this fake disease are talking.
Pro baseball star Billy Koch and his family have this disease.

So what do you have morgellonswatcher?

You wait for the next report so you can try and discredit it.

Why ?

In the interest of the public? I think not.

Anyone with half a brain can see that Morgellons is real.

Perhaps you underestimate your audience morgellonswatch?
The tide has turned no doubt about that.

And when the truth comes out we will see your fake agenda.

Your time passed long ago mate.

Time for plan B?

Now don't get me wrong....I like your blog. It amazes me that someone
who DOES NOT SUFFER FROM THIS DISEASE can take so much time
and effort to discredit it.

To the casual reader....does this not seem strange to you?

The morgwatch blog will continue to discredit every last shred of positive
information that becomes available. Who could have an agenda like that
I wonder? Saviour of the people? Government employee? Company
employee?

No one puts so much time and effort into such a work without having
a reason to do so. My reason? I wantt my family and the general public
to be aware of this disease I suffer from.

Your reason?

I think we know that.
